Dr. Jessica Dirsmith, NCSP
is a nationally certified school psychologist and a licensed psychologist. She serves as a school psychologist for the State College Area School District and also teaches in the School Psychology department at the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Dirsmith is currently authoring two books and is a monthly columnist for a local newspaper, focusing on providing information and support to the public on emotional and behavioral health for children. Her research interests include disseminating systems level public health efforts into practice, particularly with underserved populations, school-wide positive behavioral interventions and supports, the prevention and intervention of child and adolescent emotional and behavioral problems, emotional and behavioral disability case law, legally defensible assessment practices, and integrating mental health care into schools.
