Dr. Gina R. Scala
is Chair/Professor of the Special Education and Rehabilitation Department at East Stroudsburg University, including the Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education Supervisory programs. She is invested in the Professional Development School model and partners with many schools in her community. She has developed grants and innovatiove practices in leadership, inclusion, mental health, and positive behavior supports. She is the Reseach Liaison for the Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE), stakeholder member of the Office for Dispute Resolution (ODR), member of Special Education Advisory Panel (SEAP), and a member of numerous boards and committees at the national, state, and local level. She consults with many educational organizations, presents frequently, and maintains an active agenda with parent engagement, student placement, and problem resolution. She maintains membership in over 15 professional organizations. She is a wife to Gabriel, a mom to Francesca & Lexi, mother-in-law to Christopher James, and "Gigi" to grandson Grayson James and their newest addition (TBD), as well as mom to her two dogs Stella & Gizmo. She embraces the challenges which are presented daily in the field of special education and continues to challenge us all to make a difference!
