Session 2A - What it Takes to Talk: Navigating Dynamic AAC Assessment

10:15 am - 11:15 am

Speakers: Vicki Clarke & Holly Schneider

Session Description:
Most of us use our GPS to plan our route to unfamiliar places to get step-by-step directions and track our progress. For our students who use AAC, we need similar directions to plan for their development in communicative competence.
We need to accurately identify where the individual is now (present level of performance), where they came from (demonstrate progress) and develop a map for their destination (sequential goals). Join us to review the Dynamic AAC Goals Grid-2 and the Classroom Communication Goals Grid to support planning your AAC users’ route to communicative competence.
