Opening Keynote Speaker November 1, 2023:

Sara McDanielDr. Sara McDaniel is a professor of Special Education in the Department of Special Education and Multiple Abilities at the University of Alabama and is the Director of the Center for Interconnected Behavioral and Mental Health Systems (CIBMHS). The CIBMHS is a research center that engages in rigorous research in schools and focuses on supporting schools and districts in discipline reform, implementing positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS)/Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and school-based mental health services. Dr. McDaniel conducts research and teaches in the areas of: (a) Equitable PBIS/MTSS, (b) classroom practice assessment and coaching for educators, (c) Tier 2 Identification and Intervention framework, and (d) preventative treatments for diverse populations of students placed at high-risk.

Closing Keynote Speaker November 3, 2023:

Hadley BachmanHadley Bachman, Ph.D., is a Research Administration Management Consultant at the Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center, where she spearheads efforts to advance research, professional development, and the acquisition of grants and sponsored projects. She manages and implements large-scale professional learning projects of state, national, and international significance. Bachman holds a Ph.D. (2023) in Educational Studies from The Ohio State University, specializing in Educational Administration. Before joining Ohio State, she was an English teacher and principal, serving for 14 years. She earned her Teacher-Leader Endorsement (2016) and Master of Education (2007) from OSU and her Bachelor of Arts in English (2003) from Goshen College. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (2003-2005) from Cabo Verde, where she taught English and supported her colleagues with grant writing and professional learning.
