Repetition is more than just doing something over and over—it’s a powerful tool for building strong neural connections in young children. In this session, based on The Growing Brain: From Birth to 5 Years Old curriculum, we’ll explore why repeated experiences are essential for healthy brain development and how they help children master new skills.
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Describe how repetition strengthens memory and learning pathways in the brain.
- Explain the process of pruning during brain development and the importance of providing repeated, positive experiences.
- Discuss ways to provide repetition in everyday routines for children.
