Use of Student Growth Percentiles (SGPs) to Assess the Health of Core and Supplemental Reading Instruction and Intervention and RTI
School Psychologists will learn how to use Student Growth Percentiles (SGPs) to inform the health of Tiers 1, 2 and 3 within their school’s MTSS as it relates to prevention of early reading failure, the health (fidelity) of core and supplemental reading instruction/intervention, and the use of SGPs as an RTI methodology for use with all students, including students who are thought to be exceptional. The goal of the session is to empower school psychologists to consider their role as change agents to support ALL students.
Objectives:
Participants will:

List three ways to use Student Growth Percentiles (SGPs) to support literacy programs.
- Identify how SGPs can be used in RTI methodology to include all students' learning goals.
- Define two ways that school psychologists can use their roles as change agents to impact the health Tiers of their schools' MTSS regarding literacy.
