It takes a village to achieve CS for all students. Discuss ways to engage families, local businesses and organizations, and other community stakeholders in CS education.
Considering #CSforAllPA during COVID-19
CS educators are facing new and unique challenges as they plan for the 2020-21 school year. Discuss strategies for ensuring CS learning is equitable, engaging, and rigorous despite these challenges.
Objectives:
- Identify stakeholders to engage in local CS education initiatives
- Set goals engaging parents and families in CS instruction and activities
- Explore CS education resources and strategies that address district COVID-19 and Continuity of Education plans
Target Audience
District Administrators, Principals, School Counselors, School Librarians, K-12 General Ed, Special Education and English Language Learner teachers, anyone interested in K-12 Computer Science in Pennsylvania
