104. A Multi-Tiered Strategic Approach to Family Engagement | PBIS 2023

In this interactive, collaborative session, participants will work with Dr. Hadley Bachman to explore a multi-tiered, systemic approach to family engagement for promoting authentic partnerships with all families. First, participants will investigate how to create an MTSS plan for family engagement alongside school improvement planning. Next, we will discuss how families contribute to the school community as providers, receivers, initiators, co-designers, and evaluators through their funds of knowledge. Then, the presenter will introduce decision indicators for determining when the school should move to a different tier of engagement strategy. Finally, we use a simple tool to evaluate our family engagement planning.
