Special Projects

Progress monitoring will continue to support intermediate unit and school district staff by gathering, assisting in the development of, and disseminating current research in the field of progress monitoring.   Efforts in the 2006-2007 school-year included:

  • Participation in Iowa State University algebra probes project.
  • Dissemination of results of PaTTAN/Lana Edwards Santoro research project in the progress monitoring and instruction of writing.
  • Dissemination of information on early numeracy.
  • Dissemination of PaTTAN/Edward Shapiro, PhD research on the progress monitoring of students with low incidence disabilities.

Effort for the 2007-2008 school-year will continue disseminating the above information and will expand to include:

  • Supporting research and implementation efforts in the PA Response to Intervention Pilot schools.
  • Participating in the development and distribution of data tools to support RtI Implementation.
  • Research and disseminate information in the area of progress monitoring of secondary students.
  • Continued support in dissemination of information pertinent to progress monitoring of students with low incidence disabilities.
