Chapter 711

Final Chapter 711 revisions were published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin on June 28, 2008, and became effective July 1, 2008.

Chapter 711, Charter School and Cyber Charter School Services and Programs for Children with Disabilities, specifies how the Commonwealth, through the Department of Education, will meet its obligation to ensure that charter schools comply with the IDEA and its implementing regulations in 34 CFR Part 300 (relating to assistance to states for the education of children with disabilities).

This chapter does not prevent a charter school and a school district from entering into agreements regarding the provision of services and programs, whether or not the agreements involve payment for the services and programs by the charter school.
