The Department of Education provides further guidance to MAWAs through Basic Education Circulars (BECs). The preschool early intervention program operates under the following BECs:

• BEC 11 P.S. § 875-304 - Early Intervention Transition: Preschool Programs to School-age Programs
• BEC 11 P.S. §875-304* Duration of Early Intervention Program Year
• BEC 11 P.S. §875-304* Early Intervention and Private Schools
