State Performance Plan (SPP)

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 required all states to develop a State Performance Plan (SPP) that describes how the state will implement the requirements and purposes of the IDEA, and improve results for students with disabilities. The SPP is a six-year plan covering 2005-2010. The Pennsylvania Department of Education submitted the SPP to the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), in December 2005. OSEP approved Pennsylvania's SPP in March 2006. The Plan was updated in January 2007. On June 15, 2007, Pennsylvania received OSEP's approval of the updates. The SPP posted on this website includes all content from the 2005 SPP and the 2007 updates.
