In this introductory session, participants will understand how to use progress-monitoring data to inform instructional intensity across the tiers. Case studies will be used to situate the importance of ROI calculation as an RtI methodology within the context of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).


Participants will be able to:

  1. identify conceptual underpinnings of Rate of Improvement (ROI)
  2. describe how progress monitoring data informs instructional intensity across the tiers
  3. calculate ROI with relative ease and accuracy

Target Audience

School Psychologists, Reading Specialists, General and Special Education Teachers, Tiered Providers, Administrators

Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
