Participants will be provided with the DIBELS Math Essential Training Workshop. Participants will learn the foundations of DIBELS Math and the administration and scoring of the DIBELS Math subtests. Subtests will be modeled and participants will have practice opportunities with DIBELS Math subtest administration and scoring.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Understand the research behind DIBELS Math.
  • Learn how to administer and score the DIBELS math subtests.
  • Understand how to plan for benchmark testing and progress monitoring and how DIBELS Math could support a Multi-Tiered System of Support.
  • Learn which critical mathematical concepts are associated with these measures that assess early numeracy, math computation, and math concepts and application.

Target Audience

Building Principal, General Education Teacher(s), Special Education Teachers(s), School Psychologist, Mathematics Specialist, IU TaC and MTSS Coordinator

Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
