Increasing Independence

Paraeducators support students with disabilities in developing and strengthening their academic and social skills. The type of support paraeducators provide can greatly affect the degree of independence students reach in being able to use those skills. This session will present principles of instruction that paraeducators can use to promote student independence in the classroom and throughout the school day.
