For students who take the PASA, alternate eligible content has been approved by the state board of education. Therefore, in teaching students who take the PASA teachers who teach the students need to learn the essentialization process in order to ensure that students learn the alternate eligible content.
Participants will have an opportunity to explore and view multiple examples of alternate eligible content targets in ELA/Reading and Math. These samples in grades 3-8 and 11 will be available through an accessible online site. Essentialized samples of content targets through the lens of most, mid and least complex content will be available.
