Foundations of SAS and RtII: Meeting the Needs of ELLs through Effective Implementation of Tiers 1, 2, and 3

This course will focus upon effective core instruction for ELLs within Tiers 1, 2, and 3 of the RtII framework, as related to the Pennsylvania Standards Aligned System. Implementation of formative and summative assessments, as well as progress monitoring will be addressed. These materials support the content of the webinar and provide ideas for trainers to extended opportunities for engagement in a face to face presentation. Handouts include:
1) Foundations of SAS and RtII in PowerPoint format – This is the power point to be presented at the webinar.
2) Sample Grade 7 Unit 1 Lesson in Pdf format- This lesson plan will be used to illustrate the ELL accommodations in instruction and assessment for content instruction in Tier 1.
3) Resources and Activities: Shadowing Brings Instructional Gaps to Light in Pdf format
4) Resources and Activities: Scaffolding Through Questions in Pdf format
5) Resources and Activities: Extended Activities in PowerPoint format.
6) Implementation Checklist in Word format- The checklist is provided to support implementation of content learned in the webinar.
