Alternate Eligible Content: Updated Essentialization Examples
Participants will have an opportunity to explore and view multiple examples of alternate eligible content targets in ELA/Reading and Math. These samples in grades 3-8 and 11 will be available through an accessible online site. Essentialized samples of content targets through the lens of most, mid and least complex content will be available.

Alternate Eligible Content: Voices from the Field
Participants will be able to hear from teachers in the field who are using alternate eligible content targets. Teachers will describe building lesson and unit plans around the alternate eligible content selected. Examples based on updated Essentialization samples will be referenced. Teachers will also talk about their students’ successes as well as challenges when delivering instruction using alternate eligible content.

Alternate Eligible Content: Introduction to Writing
Participants will have the opportunity to examine the newly developed Writing Alternate Eligible Content. The content development process and assessment considerations will be discussed. Essentialized examples used to design content targets will be provided.
