The Role of the LEA in School Improvement

Local education agencies play a fundamental role in establishing the conditions that make it possible for principals to lead school improvement effectively. Through this session, participants will be able to articulate ESSA’s provisions for the role of LEAs in improvement of CSI and TSI schools; define the major enhancements in PDE’s school improvement framework under ESSA; and identify LEA activities associated with rapid and sustained improvement.
