In this session, nationally-recognized school law attorney Erin D. Gilsbach will provide an overview of some of the most important cases from the past 12 months. She will also highlight some of the cases from the past year that provide “teachable moments” in areas such as special education programming, placement, evaluations, and more. This entertaining and informational caselaw review will provide attendees with not only descriptions of each case, but also with suggested practical tips and tools that can be gleaned from them. From the federal appeals courts to PA due process hearing decisions, this session will provide an overview of what’s happening in special education litigation and lessons to be learned.
