The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) established a College/University Focus Group of the Response to Instruction and Intervention (RtII) Statewide Work Group in an effort to establish structures that would serve to bring together college and university stakeholders to discuss and embed high quality RtII resources within existing course content. The intent of these outreach efforts is to actively support faculty who are interested in or who are currently imparting skills and knowledge related to RtII to their undergraduate and graduate students.

To date, 10 regional RtII forums have been held across the Commonwealth, and a Moodle site has been established in order to house a growing repository of high-quality resources. As a function of forum participation, the vast majority of attendees reported:

  • a plan to alter content of courses
  • infusion of content into existing courses
  • the seeking of additional information

In order to access regional forum training materials that include an exhaustive list and links to high-quality RtII resources, interested college and university stakeholders are encouraged to visit our College/University RtII Moodle Site.
