This series is intended to improve skills of educational interpreters working in Pennsylvania schools. Trainings target current topics in the field of interpreting and sign language skills needed for effective instruction of students who are deaf or hard of hearing and use sign language. Topics include Ethics and Values; Using EIPA Results to Enhance Personal Professional Development; Literary Devices and Teaching Strategies.

Target Audience

Educational Interpreters and Teachers of the Deaf working in Pennsylvania Schools. Educational Sign Language Interpreters and Interveners who provide interpreting services in Pennsylvania K-12 classrooms.Teachers of Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing who have at least intermediate American Sign Language Skills.
Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individuals who have special needs as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and who need assistance at this event. Contact:

The training will hold a maximum of 75 attendees. Anyone who registers after the 75 seats have been filled will be put on a waiting list. Training is open and given priority to Educational Interpreters who work in Pennsylvania schools.
